The Real Meaning of JAMB Cut off Marks

Cut off marks simply means the least mark applicants can score to be qualified for admission into any Nigerian University, polytechnic or college of education. This means, once you score less than the JAMB cut off mark, no school is allowed to offer you admission. In many cases, it is allowed for institutions to set their own cut off marks far above the JAMB cut off.

Meaning of School Cut off Marks

This is the minimum mark you must scored in JAMB for you to qualify to participate in the school’s Post UTME. In 2016, the UNILAG cut off was 200, OAU was 200 and UNIBEN also. Though JAMB cut of marks then was 180, but many scores still raised their cut off marks to 200 and above.

Course Cut off Marks.
