Candidates for this programme should have at least Bachelor Degrees from any recognized University. However, candidates with professional qualifications such as ICAN or Higher National Diploma (HND) (with at least Lower Credit) may be considered.

Direct Entry
- G.C.E. ‘A’ Level passes in Economics and at least one of the following: Business Management, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Geography and Government.
- At least 3 O/Level Credits including English, Mathematics and Economics.
U.M.E.: 5 ‘O’ Level Credits including English Language, Mathematics Economics and at least one subject from the following: Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce Geography and Government U.T. M.E. Subjects: English Language, Economics, and any other Social Science subject.
UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR POSTGRADUATES STUDENTS  MBA – Master in Business Administration
Candidates for this programme should be a graduate from the University of Ilorin or any other approved University of any field with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division and holders of Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management (PGDSM) of the University of Ilorin.
They are to satisfy the Board of Postgraduate School. Candidate coming in with PGDSM of the University of Ilorin must have a minimum of 60% average. All candidates must have O’Level credits in English Language and Mathematics or their equivalents.
Candidate for the MBA (Executive) must in addition to the conditions stated above for MBA regular admission have at least five (5) year working experience as the case of degree holders and at least eight (8) years working experience for PGDSM holders.
Ph.D. – Business Administration
Candidates for this programme should have five O’Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Economics or their equivalents. First Degree with minimum of Second Class Honours and also M.Sc. with minimum of 60% aggregate Score.
