KWASU Direct Entry Admission Requirements Into Engineering

As the 2017/2018 direct entry form is out, the major problems for majority of the applicants is to find out the Universities in Nigeria that accept lower credit into their direct entry programmes. Majorly, most universities discriminate against the holders of lower credit as they don’t always want to honour that. Despite that, some  universities and departments in Nigeria accept lower credit from polytechnics for their direct entry.

As you can see, among the universities that consider lower credit for direct entry applicants is Kwara State University. With this post, I will discuss the direct entry admission requirements into all engineering courses in Kwara State University (Kwasu) and how to get admission into the school through direct entry.

1) Kwasu Direct Entry Admission Requirement Into Mechanical Engineering: The department of mechanical engineering accepts lower credit for direct entry into the school. All you need to do is to meet up with the requirements below.

O/level Requirements: Minimum of five Credit passes English, Maths plus three from Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths and Agric.Science.

Direct Entry Requirements:

In addition with the O level requirements, Candidate must either have:

• Two G.C.E A/L or its equivalent, one of which must be in relevant subject
• ND with ( minimum upper or lower credit) in relevant subject;
• HND (lower credit) in relevant subject

2) Kwasu Direct Entry Civil and Environmental Engineering Admission Requirements: Among the engineering courses, this is the only one that does not accept lower credit at diploma level excepts HND. For you to be considered for direct entry admission into civil engineering, you must meet up with:

Direct Entry (DE)

In addition with the O level Requirements, Candidates should have either:

• Two G.C.E A/L or its equivalent, one of which must be in relevant subject;
• ND with ( minimum upper credit) in relevant subject;
• HND (lower credit) in relevant subject

3) Kwara State University Electrical and Computer Engineering (DE) Requirements

O/Level Requirements English, Maths plus three from Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths and Agric.Science

Direct Entry

In addition to the O level Requirements,

• Two G.C.E A/L or its equivalent, one of which must be in relevant subject;
• ND with ( minimum upper  or lower credit) in relevant subject;
• HND (lower credit) in relevant subject

4) Kwasu Material Science Engineering Direct Entry Admission Requireents

O/Level Requirements: Candidates must meet up with five credit passes in English, Maths plus three from Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths and Agric.Science

Direct Entry

In addition to the five credit o level requirements, candidate must have either:

• Two G.C.E A/L or its equivalent, one of which must be in relevant subject;
• ND with ( minimum upper or lower credit) in relevant subject;
• HND (lower credit) in relevant subject

5) Kwasu Food Agric and Biological Engineering Direct Entry Requirements

 O/Level Requirements

Five O level credit pass in English, Maths plus three from Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths and Agric.Science
