ABSTRACT

This research work lay emphasis on the statistical analysis on the development of landed property in Kaduna state. As observed from Kaduna investment and property development company limited. The data used are secondary in nature as obtained from the record office of the organization. The objectives are to determine the linear relationship that exist  between the Xs variables (i.e. home ownership, house renting, and houses development) and the Ys variables (office renting, commercial building development and land leasing), to obtain the correlation matrix for the landed property, and to see the linear relationship between each pair, to test for the significance of the canonical correlation and also to investigate whether the development of the landed property are dependent on years.

Finally, to test for the significance of the log-likelihood ratio using coefficient of contingency. However, the statistical tools employed are canonical correlation and the log-likelihood ratio test. From the analysis carried out it reveal that there exist a strong positive relationship between the Xs and Ys variable. The test for the significance of the canonical correlation coefficient shows that the highest coefficient is statistically significantly.

Also it was reveal that the development of the landed property depends on year, and the coefficient of contingency shows that the strength of association between the number of years and the development are statistically significant. In view of the analysis carried out, it is thereby recommended that the government should make additional provision of funds to enable the state develop underdeveloped sites which will enhance growth of landed property in the state. The government also need to improve a fairly provision of public enterprise to the general public.
