Bowen University Direct Entry Form And Admission Requirements

For those of us who may want to apply for Bowen University direct entry form for 2017/2018 academic session. One of the major things to be familiar with to get admission into Bowen university through direct entry is the admission requirements.

Knowing the admission requirements of any school or courses you want to apply is one of the key to success. You don’t need to gamble it, especially if you are a direct entry applicants. You just have to get it right and apply to the school that accepts whatsoever qualification you posses.

It is on this note, that I share the direct entry admission requirements into Bowen University

Bowen University Direct Entry Form And  Admission Requirements          

All applicants are required to sit for the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)

Applicants are to complete on-line application by visiting Bowen University website at www.bowenuniversty-edu.org or obtain a form at any of the stipulated sales centres nationwide.

All applicants are required to have credits at SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB or approved equivalent in at least 5 subjects which must include English Language and four other subjects as may be specified by each Faculty.

The five Credits should be obtained in not more than two sittings.

For Medicine and Surgery (MBBS)and Nursing Science(B.Nsc) programmes,the five Credits must   be obtained at one sitting.

Candidates awaiting results may apply.

All applicants will be required to go through Bowen University’s Screening Exercise.

1. NCE, ND and approved equivalents with at least Upper Credit in relevant fields.

2. At least two Advanced Level passes at acceptable grade level .

3. The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB),Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board(JUPEB) levels.

4. In addition to the NCE/ND/IJMB or two Advanced Level papers specified by each Faculty or programme, candidates must also satisfy Ordinary Level requirements.

5. HND Holders may be admitted into 200 or 300 Level depending on the regulation guiding admission into each department/programme  All direct entry candidates are required to apply through JAMB.

1. O’ Level Subjects  (a) Candidates must possess five O’ Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, obtained at one sitting.

2. UTME Subjects  English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Direct Entry Requirements:

1. B. Sc. Second Class Upper Division in a related discipline

2. Advanced level GCE/Cambridge/IJMB/JUPEB at an acceptable grade level

3. For Nursing Science,candidates with RN/SRN plus five (5) O’Level credits to English Language Mathematics can apply.

In addition, candidates must satisfy the ‘O’ level requirements as stated in 2(i) above.
