Direct entry Admission Requirements Into Medicine In Nigerian Universities

Now that we’ve seen the list of some of the schools, what are then the admission requirements for direct entry applicants.

1. O’Level Requirements For Medicine And Surgery: The first and foremost is that, as a direct entry going into any of the school must meet up with the five credit O level admission requirements which must include English, Maths, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. School like Unilorin does not accept more than one sitting for this O level result.

2. Direct Entry Requirements: In general, most of this school accept Second Class Honour in relevant discipline from recognized Universities.

Relevant courses like: B.Sc Biological Sciences, B.Sc. Medical Sciences, Biochemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Zoology, Biomedical sciences Medical, Paramedical, Biological, Chemical, Physical Sciences, Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Laboratory, Nursing Science, Chemistry, Biology.

Note: That, majority of these schools prefered 2:1.

A Level Requirements for medicine and surgery: Uniben and Unilorin accept A level for direct entry into medicine and surgery. Though in both cases you must have gotten a very attractive points in you A level. Anything from 13 up ward should do it.
